The SAMS Media Center consists of a diverse collection of various media (print books, audio, visual and electronic materials) that is made available to students, faculty and staff. The two primary reasons that students use the Media Center will be for book selection as individuals and for information literacy skills lessons and research projects in small groups.
At SAMS, middle school students no longer have a dedicated library class. This means that when students come to the Media Center, you're either coming as a small group with one of your core or exploratory teachers to conduct research OR you're coming down individually to select books for pleasure reading or assignments.

researchSAMS students conduct research across the curriculum; in core and exploratory classes. Sometimes teachers bring students to the Media Center for information literacy lessons and we work to make students better consumers of information and more effective researchers.
